About Zirconyl Nitrate

Zirconyl Nitrate finds application as preservative, analytical standard, and source of zirconium for preparation of other salts. It has chemical formula Zr(NO3)4 with molar mass of 339.243 g/mol. This compound shows solubility in alcohol & water and can be prepared industrially by reaction of zirconium tetrachloride with dinitrogen pentoxide. Zirconyl Nitrate can also be used as precursor for chemical vapor deposition for being volatile in nature.
